Drift diving is a unique way to explore natural underwater currents, allowing divers to effortlessly glide along the reef or seascape. However, diving in a current requires specialized training and equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The Drift Diver Course teaches divers how to properly plan and execute drift dives, including methods to navigate in a current, communicate with your dive team, and manage potential hazards. The course typically involves knowledge development modules and two open water dives. During the open water dives, you'll practice techniques for diving in a current while exploring the underwater environment. Certification as a Drift Diver is recognized worldwide and is required for some dive locations and dive boats.
