Service Description

A closed circuit rebreather crossover course is a training program that teaches experienced CCR divers how to safely and effectively use a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) system by different manafacture. The course covers the theory, skills, and techniques necessary to dive using a CCR, including dive planning, equipment assembly, gas management, buoyancy control, emergency procedures, and maintenance. The purpose of this course is to expand the divers' capabilities and range by enabling them to stay underwater for longer periods and to explore deeper dive sites. The CCR system has a number of advantages over traditional open circuit scuba systems, including longer dive times, greater gas efficiency, and reduced decompression time. The course usually involves a combination of classroom instruction, pool training, and open water dives. The focus is on developing the skills necessary to dive a CCR safely and efficiently, as well as on building the confidence and experience needed to become a competent CCR diver. Upon successful completion of the course, divers are awarded a certification that enables them to use a closed circuit rebreather system for recreational or technical diving purposes.
